The Government of Japan has consented to give Rs 15.405 billion (16.636 billion Japanese Yen) credit help to Nepal for the Nagdhunga Tunnel Construction Project. Japan has consented to give the credit help to 40 years at 0.01 for every penny loan cost according to the understanding marked at the Ministry of Finance at the beginning of today. The Exchange of Notes to this impact was marked by Finance Secretary Dr Shanta Raj Subedi and Japanese Ambassador to Nepal, Masashi Ogawa, on the nearness of Deputy Prime Minister and Minster for Finance Krishna Bahadur Mahara and Minister for Physical Infrastrcuture and Transport, Ramesh Lekhak. In like manner, Joint Secretary and Chief of International Economic Cooperation Coordination Division at Ministry of Finance, Baikuntha Aryal, and Chief Representative of JICA Nepal Office, Jun Sakuma, consented to the advance arrangement. After the marking function, Finance Secretary Dr Subedi said the venture has been taken as the national pride extend and stretched out earnest gratefulness and because of the Government of Japan for the help. On the event, Ambassador Ogawa said that the venture would stay as a point of reference of the Nepal-Japan relations and that it ought to be finished as another image of the reciprocal connection. The Japanese venture, going for enhancing the arrangement of the current street, diminishing the travel time and upgrading activity wellbeing in Nagdhunga-Naubise range, would be finished by 2022. The Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport will be the executing organization and the Department of Roads will be in charge of the usage of the venture, the discharge educated. The cost of the venture is around 21 billion Japanese Yen out of which Japan will give 16.636 billion and remaining asset will be overseen by Nepal government.
