A four-year-old kid appallingly kicked the bucket from suffocating in a prominent swimming pool in China on Tuesday.The youngster's mom, surnamed Xiao, was playing on her cell phone just feet away as he battled in water, as per a reconnaissance video posted by People's Daily Online on Twitter.

Ms Xiao obviously did not see her child was suffocating as she went to search for the kid in different parts of pool after she put down her phone.The kid and his mom were swimming in a pool in Xianyang, north-west China's Shaanxi Province, reported Huanqiu.com, an association of People's Daily.

The lady was remaining around three meters (10 feet) from the kid when she was checking her handset, the report said.

The video demonstrates that there were seven to eight swimmers in the pool, however none of them saw the youngster was suffocating.
