The Department of Archeology (DoA) has destroyed down the Pratappur sanctuary situated inside the Swayambhunath Maha Chaitya complex.

The sanctuary had created different breaks in the gigantic tremor of 2015 and resulting consequential convulsions. Division's Engineering Section Chief, Sampat Ghimire, said the sanctuary must be crushed as it could give way at whatever time and postured hazard to the enthusiasts and vacationers going to the site.

He included that the sanctuary would be revamped in its old structure and would be shudder flexible.

The Swayambhunath Stupa complex is recorded as the World Heritage Site and the DOA and the Federation of Swayambhu Management and Conservation are right now leading an examination for remodel of the other old landmarks and stupas that were harmed amid the shake, Federation's General Secretary, Mahendra Ratna Bajracharya said.
